OTTAWA, ON - June 27, 2017 – PIJAC Canada announced today that association President & CEO, Louis McCann has won the coveted ICON Award. The Icon Award is presented by Pet Age Magazine to honor leaders in the pet industry. The ICON awards honor pet industry leaders with 20+ years experience, who have shown a long term commitment to the success of the pet industry based on experience, integrity and leadership.
“I have known Louis for many years and there is no one more deserving of this award.”, says Mike Campbell, Board Chairman, “He has spent his career rallying all sectors of the industry, leading through both good and difficult times. Since his early beginnings at the Montreal SPCA, Louis life’s work has been about making a positive difference in the lives of pets and working to continually raise the bar for the pet industry. The Board of directors and staff are extremely excited to see Louis receive this recognition.”
A panel of judges made up of industry professional convened by the magazine selected this years’ recipients. Pet Age will be publishing profiles on the winners in their September issue.
